Rhodes (Rhodos or Rodos in Greek), the beautiful island of the roses, With all its places with it's natural beauty, the landscapes, the villages, the beaches, it is hard to list them all, has a unique physical scenery that does not cease to impress its visitors.

When somebody visits the island of Rhodes for the first time, most people become aware of the myth that sets the island as the home of Apollo, the sun god.
The visit and vacation get close to its end, but by then the visitor is in love with the island.

No one can claim - or at least no one so far has - that this love affair has to do with anything other than the result of yet another mythical liaison which claims that Rhodes is none other than the child of Aphrodite, the goddess of love.

Simply put, the visitor’s love for the island is the result of a relationship that was just bound to end like this, because Rhodes, the whole island, seduces in a series of inevitable ways, causing even the most dispassionate visitor at last, to fall.

GEOGRAPHY

Rhodes (or Rodos) lies between Crete and the near East in the Aegean ocean. Rhodes is the biggest of the Dodecanese islands. Named the sun island or island of light there are hardly any days when the sun doesn’t shine.

There are many reasons why Rhodes is one of the most popular resorts in the Mediterranean:
the natural surroundings (crystal clear seas, many parks and recreational facilities), the bright sun and the warm hospitality of the islanders themselves.

The city has an excellent tourist infrastructure and offers a wide variety of entertainment (night-life, sports, cultural events, and day trips to wonderful Lindos and the neighboring islands like Kos, Patmos, Karpathos, Kalymnos and Leros). Finally, visitors have the opportunity to learn something of the eventful history of the city, visit the museums or go sightseeing.
